Travel Guide: How to Get to Town With an El Nido Package

Travel Guide: How to Get to Town With an El Nido Package

El Nido is a first class municipality in Palawan, Philippines. It offers a lot of attractions for those who are looking for a different kind of vacation. It is even considered as one of the favorite destinations in the country, patronized by both local and foreign tourists. This is why an El Nido package is often one of the most bought tour packages, especially during summer.

Getting to town is one of the common concerns of visitors. Fortunately, there's more than just one way to get to this beautiful town.

A regular El Nido package comes with round trip land transfers from Puerto Princesa City. This means that you'd have to go to Puerto Princesa first and then go on a 4-6 hour van ride. If you're not getting a tour package, you can catch a bus or a van in Puerto Princesa. You'll find buses and public vans leaving the city several times a day.

What's great about getting an El Nido package is that you are sure that a van is waiting for you when you get to Puerto Princesa. This is perfect if you're visiting town during the peak season.

If you're not too excited about the 4-6 hour road trip, and you're coming from Manila, you may opt to take a chartered flight from Manila. This may be a bit costly. However, a chartered flight will definitely cut your travel time. Of course, this is also more comfortable than being stuck inside a van or bus for hours. The faster you get to town, the more time you'll have to island hopping and visiting interesting sites in town.

If you don't like to fly and don't easily get seasick, you may take a ferry. Travel time is about 30 hours. There are ferries leaving Manila several times a week. If you're coming from Coron, you may also catch a boat going to El Nido.

Getting Around Town

El Nido is such a small town. You can get to different places by simply walking. But if you don't likewalking a lot, you may rent a motorcycle or ride a tricycle. An El Nido package often includes a town tour with transportation arrangements. Unless you'd like to go somewhere else not included in the itinerary, you really wouldn't need to rent a vehicle during your stay.

Getting an El Nido package is the most convenient way to plan a vacation to this beautiful town. So, what are you waiting for? Contact your travel agent and book a trip!
